Go Team!!!

Winter has been a very quiet month for me and my cycling, due to bronchitis and very cold weather I haven’t been out on the bike much.

I did manage a ride out to Hemsby on the coast between Christmas and New Year which covered 40 miles which was a nice comfortable distance. A session on the turbo went well also, covering around 35 miles of varying terrain.

Tony and I have a new website up and running (thanks to Tont for doing everything!!), check out http://www.openpact.co.uk. Here you’ll find details of the two charities we are riding for and fundraising progress can be seen on the homepage.

Training for the London-Paris ride will start again in earnest soon, our first ride of any note will be on the 7th Feb when we take part in the The Mardale, a 100 KM audax starting from Norwich. We’ll be riding this with Richard on his madone (lucky bastard!) and we hope to complete this in about 3 1/2 hours, obviously we’ll be hoping for dry weather – we wouldn’t want our nice team shirts to get dirty!!

Notes on that ride will be posted up later both on here on my blog and also on the OpenPACT site.

Please visit the OpenPACT site if you help can raise funds for the two charities, all dontations are welcome no matter how big or small. Thanks.
